The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and its Committee on the Environment (COTE) have finalized the top ten sustainable architecture and ecological design projects for 2016. The Top 10 projects are:
1. Biosciences Research Building (BRB); Galway, Ireland designed by Payette and Reddy Architecture + Urbanism 2. Center for Sustainable Landscapes (CSL); Pittsburgh designed by The Design Alliance Architects 3. Exploratorium at Pier 15; San Francisco designed by EHDD 4. H-E-B at Mueller; Austin, TX/ Lake designed by Flato Architects, H-E-B Design + Construction and Selser Schaefer Architects 5. Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation; Berkeley, CA designed by Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects 6. Rene Cazenave Apartments; San Francisco designed by Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects and Saida + Sullivan Design Partners, Associated Architect 7. The Dixon Water Foundation Josey Pavilion; Decatur, TX /Lake designed by Flato Architects 8. The J Craig Venter Institute; San Diego designed by ZGF Architects LLP 9. University of Wyoming – Visual Arts Facility; Laramie, WY designed by Hacker Architects and Malone Belton Able PC 10. West Branch of the Berkeley Public Library; Berkeley, CA designed by Harley Ellis Devereaux
