Amid reports of multiple sightings of UFOs (unidentified flying objects), alleged alien corpses presented in Mexico, and Halloween around the corner, a US company is offering $1 million to anyone who spots an alien and offers proof.

Amazon-owned smart home security device company Ring announced that it will offer the prize to anyone who captures "unaltered scientific evidence" of extraterrestrial life on their doorbell camera.

"Sensors have been picking up signs of unidentified life forms in the Neighborhood Nebula, and we want you to investigate," the company wrote in a blog post. "With new sightings and further evidence that life forms might exist beyond Earth's atmosphere, there's a possibility that Extraterrestrial activity could be happening right outside your front door," it added inviting users to submit videos to their website where they will be reviewed by a "Space and Extraterrestrial Expert."

Participants who submit the "most creative interpretation of an Extraterrestrial sighting on your Ring device" will also get to win a $500 Amazon gift card.

"Alien costumes and accessories, homemade spacecrafts, and Extraterrestrial-inspired communication with your Ring device are highly encouraged for the 'Out of this World' Prize submissions," the company added in its blog post.

The Amazon-owned smart home security device company also said that submissions will be judged based on creativity, and humour, and encouraged participants to "lure in Extraterrestrials by decorating your front porch and lawn with alien-inspired décor and impressive high-tech gear". "Our intergalactic neighbors are drawn to colorful lights, fascinating gadgets, and homeowners with approachable costumes complete with antennas and goggles," Ring stated in its blog post.
