Sam Altman's X (formerly Twitter) post went viral and many users commented by extending their support and wished him well for the future.

The world of technology woke up to a shocking bit of news after OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was sacked from his position after the higher management within the firm did not find him to be the right man to take the company forward.

Following his termination, Altman took to X (formerly Twitter) and said that he felt as if he was reading his own eulogy while alive and thanked others for showering so much love on him.

"I love you all. Today was a weird experience in many ways. but one unexpected one is that it has been sorta like reading your own eulogy while you’re still alive. the outpouring of love is awesome. One takeaway: go tell your friends how great you think they are," Altman wrote on Saturday.

Altman's post went viral and many users commented by extending their support and wished him well for the future.

"Love you champ! All the best for the next big thing. This decision to oust you will go down as one of the biggest board failures in the history of corporate boards," one user wrote.

"In the pursuit of success, people often lose sight of the essence of harmony!" another user wrote.

"He really is the modern day Steve Jobs. I hope he does hardware now. This will be an epic 15-20 years," a third user wrote.

Following Altman's termination, Mira Murati was appointed as OpenAI's interim CEO.
