Salman Khan turned 58 on Wednesday and as the Bollywood superstar gears up to celebrate his birthday, here's a look at his net worth and an insight into how much he charges for films and endorsements.

1.) Lifestyle Asia estimated Salman Khan's net worth to be around Rs 2,900 crore.

2.) He is said to charge Rs 100 crore per film.

3.) He also earns Rs 300 crore from brand endorsements annually, CNBCTV 18 reported.

4.) Salman Khan also owns businesses that include the clothing brand Being Human and a sister company, Being Strong, which offers fitness equipment.

It has been 30 years since Salman Khan has been reigning over Bollywood and speaking to PTI recently, he said doesn’t really know why he and others such as Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir, and Akshay Kumar have survived in the industry for more than three decades but it is probably a combination of hard work, the right choice of films and plain luck.

The blood and sweat that goes into the process of making a movie also plays a critical role, pulling in audiences to see the film more than once, he said.

"By the grace of god, I can bring in Friday, Saturday, and Sunday because of the way the fans are with me. After that, the film also has to be on that level that they want to go and see the film again. That’s how the film makes the numbers when people go and watch the film twice or thrice,” Salman told PTI in an interview.
