20 time Grand Slam champion and tennis legend Roger Federer has been enjoying his time away from the court, ever since he announced his retirement in September 2022.
On Monday, the 42-year-old was present at Italian blind opera virtuoso Andre Bocelli's concert in Zurich, Switzerland. Towards the end of the concert, Federer was caught by surprise when the singer invited him on to the stage.
The eight-time Wimbledon champion obliged to the request and went on stage when Bocelli was performing his closing number "Nessun Dorma". But as soon as he went up to the stage and heard Bocelli's rendition, he was moved to tears.

The tweet saw many comments from users, some of whom praised Bocelli while others praised Federer for his gesture at the end of the concert.
"The actual Maestro himself. It's moments like these why I started a newsletter about the Swiss Maestro earlier this year," one user wrote.
"One of the best tenors who sing for the only maestro of this sport," another user wrote.
This is not the first time that Federer has been seen at a music concert, this year. The tennis legend was seen at the Coldplay concert in Zurich in July where he went on stage to sing with lead vocalist Chris Martin.
