Prasanna Sankar, who co-founded Rippling in San Francisco, had stepped down from his role and left the company in 2020.

Indian-origin entrepreneur Prasanna Sankar, best known as the co-founder and former Chief Technology Officer of the HR technology company Rippling, shared a note of appreciation for his new startup team, praising their commitment to work late into the night.

In a recent post, Sankar uploaded a photograph from the office of his new venture, 0xPPL, showing employees engaged in work at 10 pm. He wrote, “It’s 10pm and the entire office is alive. No one told them to stay. Blessed to be working with a team of owners.” He added that the crypto startup was still hiring and inviting applications from new candidates.

Later, he shared another post mentioning that pizzas had been delivered to the office to keep the team energised through the long work session.

Sankar, who co-founded Rippling in San Francisco, had stepped down from his role and left the company in 2020. Speaking to Forbes in October 2025, he said he had since sold off his stake in the firm, explaining that he had “divested his shares over the years”.

Originally from Chennai, Sankar built his career across some of the world’s largest technology companies. He interned at Google in 2006, worked with Microsoft Canada, and later became a key figure in the Silicon Valley startup scene while helping establish Rippling, which went on to reach a valuation of $10 billion.

After several years in the Bay Area, Sankar moved to Singapore, where he began work on his next project. In 2023, he launched 0xPPL, which he described as a decentralised social network for crypto users.

Yesterday, he announced the release of a new version of the platform, writing, “I’m excited to launch today: 0xPPL 2.0 - something I’ve poured a lot of my life energy into. It’s a crypto superapp for all things onchain.”

Outside his professional achievements, Sankar’s personal life has continued to draw public attention following a highly publicised legal dispute with his estranged wife, Dhivya Sashidhar.

Earlier this year, in March, Sankar posted a series of messages online accusing Dhivya of infidelity, abducting their nine-year-old son, and filing false cases against him.

Dhivya Sashidhar, however, offered a conflicting account in an interview with The San Francisco Standard. She alleged that her husband had coerced her into sex shortly after childbirth, threatened to be unfaithful if she refused, and pressured her to accept an open marriage. She further claimed that Sankar had installed hidden cameras in their home, solicited prostitutes, and moved her and their son between countries to avoid taxes and restrict her financial rights following their separation.
