Oyo CEO Ritesh Agarwal on Thursday announced that he and wife Geetansha Sood have become parents to a baby boy. The announcement comes nearly two months after he revealed their pregnancy and nine months after their wedding.
“The miracle of life is breathtaking, and our hearts are forever changed. Meet our precious little one – Aryan,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), sharing a glimpse of the newborn.
“The sleepless nights spent building Oyo were just a warm-up for the sleepless nights of parenthood, and yet, I've never been happier than I am at this very moment.”

Ritesh Agarwal, 29, said the new chapter in their lives will be filled with love, laughter and happiness that only a child can bring.
Geetansha Sood is the director of Farmation Ventures.
Among those who congratulated the couple for the birth of their child was Edelweiss Mutual Fund boss Radhika Gupta.
“Many many congrats Ritesh to you and Geet. Enjoy this incredible journey. Parent Tank is the best Our blessings to Aryan,” she wrote on X.
Agarwal had joined reality television show Shark Tank India’s latest season as its newest judge.
Agarwal and Sood, who met eleven years ago as teenagers, got married in March this year in New Delhi. The wedding was attended by SoftBank founder and CEO Masayoshi Son and leading startup founders such as Vijay Shekhar Sharma of Paytm. In one of the photos, the newly-weds were seen touching the Japanese billionaire’s feet and seeking his blessings.
SoftBank is the biggest investor in Oyo, the hospitality chain which Agarwal launched in 2013. Masayoshi Son himself has been something of a mentor to Agarwal for almost a decade, even providing a personal guarantee to his $2 billion loan which allowed Agarwal to increase his stake in Oyo in 2019.
Days after their wedding, Agarwal’s father died after falling from a high-rise in Gurgaon, near Delhi.
