Sam Altman woke up and chose violence – figuratively, of course. This morning, the CEO of OpenAI shared a post taking a dig at Elon Musk on his own microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter). The post comes days after Musk launched his own artificial intelligence bot, dubbed Grok, to challenge ChatGPT.
Sam Altman posted a screenshot of ChatGPT’s latest version, which allows users to create fully-customized AI chatbots called GPTs.
In the screenshot, Altman instructs ChatGPT: “Be a chatbot that answers questions with cringey boomer humor in an awkward shock-to-get-laughs sort of way.”
“Great, the chatbot is set up! Its name is Grok. How do you like the name, or would you prefer something else?” the GPT builder responds.

Musk has said he cofounded OpenAI in 2015 because he regarded the dash by Google into the sector to make big advances and score profits as reckless.
He then left OpenAI in 2018 to focus on Tesla, saying later he was uncomfortable with the profit-driven direction the company was taking under the stewardship of CEO Sam Altman.
Musk launched his own AI chatbot Grok last week. According to Musk, Grok is designed to have a dash of humour in its responses.
