Nikhil Kamath shares a glimpse of a 'hidden beach': not trash-filled like Bali, Thailand

Nikhil Kamath, the co-founder of Zerodha, shared a glimpse of a hidden coastal paradise near his hometown in Udupi, Karnataka, throwing the spotlight on India's often-overlooked but breathtaking beaches. Kamath expressed admiration for the tranquility and cleanliness of the coastal havens, drawing a stark contrast with the bustling and often overcrowded beaches in the west.

Unlike the popular tourist destinations like Bali and Thailand, where beaches are frequently marred by overcrowding and litter, the beach near Udupi presents a serene escape from the chaos. Kamath highlighted the absence of throngs of people, chaotic scenes, and the distressing sight of trash that often plagues international beaches.

A significant aspect emphasized by Kamath was the absence of additional hassles such as expensive seaplanes, boat rides, immigration procedures, visas, or the typical long waits at international airports.

“India has some spectacular hidden beaches, this one is near my hometown in Udupi. Unlike beaches in the west, no crowds/chaos (game-changer this), no trash-filled beaches like Bali and Thailand right now, plus Mangi food is mindblowing. Also no expensive seaplanes, boat rides, immigration, visas or waiting in lines at international airports,” the billionaire wrote.

His tweet also comes at the heels of the simmering Lakshadweep-Maldives controversy that led to an outpouring of promotion of Indian beaches and destinations for travel as opposed to international spots by prominent personalities.
