Man reunited with AirPods he lost in Kerala, traced to Goa

It was a happy ending for a man who lost his AirPods in Kerala and traced them to Goa. The AirPods have been found after a massive cross-country search effort that brought together hundreds of social media users and two separate police departments.

An X user named Nikhil had tweeted about his lost AirPods back in December 21, 2023. He said he lost the Apple product in Kerala and, using the location tracker, traced them to Goa. “I recently lost my new AirPods in Kerala and this bi**h a** person is travelling with it. The person is in south Goa right now since two days, so I’m guessing they live there. Does anyone here live around Dr Alvaro de Loyola Furtado Road, Salcete, south Goa? RT for reach, etc,” he posted on X.

His post went viral with over 1.2 million views, receiving hundreds of comments. One person named Sanket offered to go look for the AirPods in Goa, and EV maker Ather Energy stepped up to offer Sanket a two-wheeler to help him on his search and rescue mission.

He shared a picture of the AirPods that was sent to him by Sanket. It shows Sanket holding up the AirPods outside the Margao Police Station in Goa.
