Mumbai is gearing up for a musical extravaganza as Lollapalooza India returns in 2025 for the third time with a stellar lineup that promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
The highly anticipated third edition of the global music festival, scheduled for March 8-9, 2025, will mark the India debut of several international heavyweights, including American punk-rock icons Green Day, pop sensation Shawn Mendes, and UK's chart-topping Glass Animals.
Green Day, the American punk-rock legends known for their rebellious anthems and electrifying performances, will be headlining the festival. The band is known for superhits such as ‘Boulevard of Broken Dreams’, ‘American Idiot’ and ‘Wake me up when September Ends’.
Joining Green Day on the main stage is Canadian heartthrob Shawn Mendes, who is making a return to the live music circuit after a two-year hiatus. Mendes, known for chart-toppers like "Senorita" and "Treat You Better," will be one of the festival's major draws, especially with his latest hit "Why Why Why".
Another highly anticipated act is Louis Tomlinson, former member of the globally adored boy band One Direction. With a massive fanbase in India, Tomlinson's debut performance in the country is expected to be a monumental event for his supporters.
Glass Animals’ 2020 hit "Heat Waves" was one of the most streamed songs in India on Spotify. Aurora, who song ‘Runaway’ was a social media sensation is also set to perform at the festival.
From Indian talent, artists like rapper Raftaar, singer-songwriter Dot., sitar maestro Niladri Kumar, and indie multi-instrumentalist Sudan are performing.
Also added to the mix is Hanumankind, an international rapper from Kerala, who has hit it out of the park with his song ‘Big Dawgs’.
Lollapalooza India unveiled its lineup a full six months before the festival that will be held Mahalaxmi Race Course. Tickets start at Rs 5,999 on BookMyShow.
