Kim Kardashian slammed for 'insensitive' joke on Kate Middleton's absence: 'So low'

Unless you are living under a rock, you might know about the flurry that Kate Middleton’s “disappearance” has caused on social media and across the world as well. The British royal was seen in public in December last year and conspiracy theories about her absence from the public eye have been running wild.

Now, amid the speculations and a plethora of theories about the Princess of Wales, Kim Kardashian poked fun at the situation. However, her joke didn’t go down well with social media users and several of them called her "insensitive".

Sharing a slew of pictures of herself on Instagram, the SKIMS founder wrote, “On my way to go find Kate”, in the caption of the post.

A major section of Kardashian’s fans and followers were not impressed by her joke and slammed her in the comments section for poking fun at sensitive issues.

“Kim, imagine being trolled and made fun of after you got robbed in Paris? Girl take this insensitive post down,” one user wrote. Another user commented, “Nothing like a celebrity who allegedly hates rumours, spreading rumours.”

“Let's make fun of Kim too, start about the Paris robbery. You don't mind right @kimkardashian.  Ridiculous,” a third user remarked.

“To mock a woman who has a medical problem is so low,” a fourth user added. Another user chimed in, “All your pictures are photoshopped. Leave Kate.”

Meanwhile, after endless speculations and discussions on social media about Kate Middleton’s absence, a report in The Times said that the royal is likely to speak at a public event and address her health concerns. "I can see a world in which the princess might discuss her recovery out on engagements. If she was going to do it, that's how she would do it. I would expect that to be her instinct and it will be her call. They're not going to be rushed," a source told the newspaper.

An announcement by the Kensington Palace on January 17 mentioned that the Princess of Wales had been admitted to The London Clinic for a “planned abdominal surgery”.
