What India asked Alexa in 2023: 'India vs Australia score, best football player...'

Alexa has become a crucial part of households to obtain information about various topics and the virtual assistant technology's ability to combine knowledge with humour is a reflection of its ever-evolving role in a user's life.

November will mark 10 years since Amazon introduced its virtual assistant technology Alexa to the world and as the years have passed by, the technology has become an integral part of households, who have used it to perform various activities, ranging from playing a person's favourite music to knowing the weather on that particular day.

In 2023, Indians used Alexa to know a wide range of information and sports was one of the topics that users constantly asked the technology and in particular cricket score and predictions for an upcoming match, Amazon's virtual assistant wing said.

"Alexa, cricket score" was the most frequently asked question by Indian users in 2023, followed by "Alexa, who is the best football player". Some of the other questions asked by  Indian users to Alexa included "Alexa, who will win the World Cup?" and "Alexa, give me the India vs Australia score?"

Away from sport, users were also curious to know the age of Bollywood celebrities such as Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. Some of the popular songs requested by users to Alexa included "Shree Hanuman Chalisa", "Baby Shark" and "Jhoome Jo Pathaan".
