A disagreement between Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif's men escalated into a full-blown physical fight on live television. The two men had been invited as guests on a talk show on September 27, but left viewers shocked when they began screaming, punching and kicking each other.

According to local media reports, one of the men involved in the fight is Sher Afzal Marwat, a lawyer affiliated with Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), while the other is a senator of Nawaz Sharif's Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

The brawl began during a profanity-laced exchange between the PTI and PML-N leaders on the popular Pakistani talk show ‘Kal Tak’ hosted by Javed Chaudhary. Footage that is viral online shows PML-N’s Afnan Ullah Khan accusing Imran Khan of misconduct. He reportedly called the former Pakistan prime minister a ‘bootlicker’ and Jewish agent.

The lawyer associated with Imran Khan’s PTI party, instead of refuting the charges, got up and started thrashing the PML-N senator. The two men were seen throwing punches at each other as the harried talk show host asked them to maintain peace. TV crew was seen running to separate the two politicians.

Following the incident, both the men took to social media to share their sides of the story. “While I firmly believe in non-violence, I am a dedicated soldier of Nawaz Sharif. The lesson that Marwat received is a critical reminder for all members of PTI, particularly Imran Khan. They won’t be able to show their faces and they would have to wear tinted glasses,” wrote senator Afnan Ullah Khan.

Marwat responded: “Someone who ran away from the studio is trying to get my attention to get more fame. If you think I don't know about your dirty history then you are wrong. If you make any other accusation, I will have no choice but to expose your family's dirty past. Don't worry, I know how to silence barking dogs.”

The PTI lawyer also accused the TV host of spreading misinformation. “Express TV host Javed Chaudhry is spreading misinformation about last night's unpleasant incident. He is spreading rumours that my opponent was a Superman. He is not telling the reality which is that Afnan Ullah ran away from the studio and took shelter in a nearby room, which I came to know after watching his program today,” he wrote.
