Food vlogger Rocky Singh joins Swiggy as ambassador, ex-vlogging partner Mayur Sharma at Zomato

In a delightful twist for food enthusiasts, Rocky Singh, half of the popular food vlogging duo Rocky and Mayur, has been appointed as a Swiggy Ambassador. The announcement comes nearly a year after his partner Mayur Sharma stepped away from their collaborative journey for personal reasons.

The duo, known for their travel food shows ‘Highway On My Plate’ and ‘Food Mad’, has since continued their culinary adventures independently, with Mayur currently working with Zomato.

Now, Rocky's new role was announced by Swiggy’s food marketplace CEO Rohit Kapoor on LinkedIn, accompanied by a lighthearted recounting of a recent chat between the two. In the post, Kapoor teased Rocky about the logistics of Swiggy’s 10-minute food delivery service.

“Rocky and I were doing chai-samose par charcha the other day,” Kapoor wrote. “Look, it's food from nearby restaurants. Idlis, momos, subs, chai, samosa jo hum daba kar kha rahe hain (we are eating heartily). Food that takes lesser time to prepare.”

Kapoor clarified that the 10-minute ‘Bolt’ delivery won’t make the drivers speed. “Delivery partner has no idea it's a Bolt delivery. It’s a normal delivery for them, boss!” Kapoor wrote.

In a video accompanying the post, Rocky and Rohit donned matching orange Swiggy t-shirts as they embarked on a series of food deliveries. Kapoor said they met delivery partners as well on their deliveries.

Comments from fans and followers poured in, expressing excitement over the Rocky-Mayur’s potential reunion and sharing nostalgia for the culinary delights that defined their earlier shows.

One user remarked, “A Rocky and Mayur reunion episode in Goa would just hit the spot,” while another highlighted the convenience of the new 10-minute delivery service, recalling past rainy days when food delivery could take ages.

After Rocky and Mayur split, the former had shared a message on Instagram, stating, “Hey all, almost 1 year since Mayur left for personal reasons, and I’ve been working alone. We chat on the phone, but we both have our work to look after, so we don’t meet or chat as often as we would like. The love is all there and will always be - Regards, Rocky.”
