Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil-starrer Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 became a massive box office hit when it released in December 2021. The story, about a boy who writes his own rags-to-riches story by smuggling red sandalwood after his paternal family refuse to recognise him as his father's son, resonated with people pan India, with the film making over Rs 360 crore by the end of its run.
Ever since, fans of the film and of the mega stars have been waiting for the next installment. The action thriller Pushpa 2: The Rule, again starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is on floors in Hyderabad and is touted to release this year. Now, Rashmika Madanna, who plays Srilvalli in the film, has posted a candid picture of the director Sukumar on the sets of Pushpa 2: The Rule.
In the photo, Sukumar can be seen resting his hands on the head of a life-size, golden lion - Mandanna has captioned the picture ‘Candidly posing’ and tagged him.

After her last superhit film, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, also starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, the actress has begun shooting with Allu Arjun for the second instalment of Pushpa.
Her Instagram story on Sukumar, which she shared from the sets, has made news especially because the extraordinary and unexpected success of the first film Pushpa: The Rise, fanned the anticipation of fans, and their expectations around the much-awaited sequel 'Pushpa: The Rule' are now at an all-time high. This sequel is touted to release on August 15 this year. Reports say that there is a part three of this franchise – the first being the Rise, the second, the Rule and the third, the Roar.
The first part of this Telugu action drama is set in Chittoor, and was dubbed in multiple languages. It has Rashmika (Srivalli) playing the wife of Allu Arjun (Pushpa). This film was also the Telugu debut of Malayalam actor Fahad Faasil who plays an IPS officer.
According to reports, the fact is that the director Sukumar who is a perfectionist is also a task master and that is probably the reason why the lead actress posted a picture that showcases his presence and signifying his authority on set and the process of filmmaking.
