An incident in Gujarat's Jamnagar has emerged, where a dead frog was reportedly discovered in a packet of potato wafers. This event follows recent reports of a human finger and centipede being found in online ice cream orders, heightening public concern.

Jasmin Patel, a resident of Pushkar Dham Society, reported that his four-year-old niece purchased the packet from a local shop on Tuesday evening. Both his niece and nine-month-old daughter had consumed some of the wafers before discovering the dead frog.

Officials from the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation have initiated an investigation into the matter. "One Jasmin Patel informed us that a dead frog was found in a packet of Crunchex, manufactured by Balaji Wafers. We visited the shop from where it had been purchased last night. Preliminary probe suggested it was indeed a frog in a decomposed state," said food safety officer DB Parmar, as reported by the Indian Express.

“As directed by the municipal commissioner, we will collect samples from this batch of wafer packets to conduct an inquiry," Parmar added, emphasising the seriousness of the situation.

This incident is the latest in a series of food safety concerns. Earlier this week, students at a government engineering college in Bihar's Banka district claimed to have found a dead snake in the food served at the college mess. Eleven students fell ill after consuming the contaminated meal and were taken to a hospital, where they were treated for symptoms of nausea and vomiting. Fortunately, all affected students are now in stable condition.

Meanwhile, a woman named found a dead mouse in a bottle of Hershey's chocolate syrup that she had ordered online. "This is extremely concerning and unacceptable. We’re worried about the health risks and the lack of quality control," Sridhar wrote on Instagram. She urged a thorough investigation into the matter and advised her audience to exercise caution with packaged foods, especially those given to children.
