Maharashtra Govt may review Anna's security

The Maharashtra government is likely to review providing security to anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare.

According to sources, a team of the Maharashtra Police may visit Ralegan Siddhi for the security review.

Maharashtra DGP K Subramaniam told CNN-IBN that there was a constant review of the security of Anna Hazare that was underway.

He further said that security had already been provided at Ralegan Siddhi.

This comes after attacks on key Team Anna members Prashant Bhushan and Arvind Kejriwal and few other supporters of the team.

Senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan was attacked inside his Supreme Court chamber by three men on October 12 over his comments calling for plebiscite in Kashmir.

On the next day, Anna supporters protesting outside the Patiala House court were also assaulted by the members of the Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena.

Days after the attacks, a slipper was hurled at core Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal during a public gathering in Lucknow on Tuesday.

All these attacks were condemned by all the political parties.
