Robert Vadra will fall before 'mango men', retorts Kejriwal

Social activist Arvind Kejriwal on Monday took a dig at the son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Robert Vadra over his Facebook status that read, 'Mango men in a banana republic', in an apparent jibe at Kejriwal and senior Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan who have accused Vadra of financial impropriety.

Hitting back at Vadra over his status and taking the term 'aam aadmi' quite literally, Kejriwal tweeted, "Evidence pouring in from mango men from across the country. Mango men wud prove to be nemesis for the 'powerful'."

Vadra's status led to a furore among the masses and the political circles alike, with India Against Corruption (IAC) members calling it an insult to the nation and asking Vadra to apologise. IAC member Kumar Vishwas said, "Today Robert Vadra has written 'mango people in banana republic' on his Facebook page. He insulted our country because he is related with the most arrogant family ie the Gandhi family. He should apologise before the nation."

Vadra ultimately deleted his Facebook account with a last post, saying, "Obviously it seems I have people on my Facebook account who do not have a sense of humour. Everything I write becomes news and further debates on television?? I have decided to delete my account."
