A Bengaluru resident experienced an exceptionally swift delivery of a laptop through Flipkart Minutes, a recently launched quick commerce service by the e-commerce giant. The service, which debuted in select areas of Bengaluru this month, aims to deliver products within minutes and has positioned itself as a competitor to existing platforms like Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart. However, Flipkart Minutes sets itself apart by offering a broader range of products, including high-end electronics, a feature not commonly available on other quick commerce platforms.

Sunny Gupta shared his experience of ordering a laptop from Flipkart Minutes on X. Gupta detailed that from the moment he completed his purchase to the time the laptop was delivered to his location at a Starbucks outlet, only 13 minutes had passed. He initially noted that the tracking page estimated a delivery time of 7 minutes, which was later updated to 12 minutes due to a slight delay. The delivery partner arrived at the Starbucks in approximately 3 minutes, completing the transaction through an OTP verification process.

Gupta ordered an Acer Predator laptop, which typically retails for Rs 95,000 to Rs 2.5 lakh online. His post on X, accompanied by visuals of the device post-unboxing, quickly went viral, prompting a variety of reactions from other users.

Some expressed surprise at the speed of delivery, while others questioned the necessity of such rapid service for items like laptops. “Quick-commerce needs to relax a bit. Who is in a hurry to get a new laptop delivered to their home in under 10 minutes!?” one user commented.

Social media users also had a lot of questions about the new service and flooded the comments section with them.

In response to the feedback, Gupta explained that he had been considering purchasing a laptop for some time and the availability of the specific model he wanted, coupled with the convenience of a 15-minute delivery window, made Flipkart Minutes an attractive option.
