India's top information technology services company Tata Consultancy Services on December 19 appointed Hanne Birgitte Breinbjerg Sorensen and Keki Mistry as additional and independent directors for a period of five years.
Both the directors' tenure began on December 18, subject to approval from shareholders.
The board now has six independent directors out of a total of ten directors.
Hanne Sorensen has held various senior level executive positions within the AP Moller-Maersk A/S Group in Denmark over her 22-year career.
In her most recent role, she was the CEO of Damco, a Dutch supply chain management company from 2014-16. In the past, she has also been the CEO of Maersk Tankers, the world's largest product tanker company.
She is currently on the board of Tata Motors, Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Plc, Delhivery, Ferrovial S.A., LafargeHolcim and Sulzer.
Sorensen, a Dutch national born in 1965, holds an MSc in Economics and Management from the University of Aarhus.
Keki Mistry is Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HDFC and has nearly four decades of experience in the banking and financial services domain.
Besides being on the boards of several HDFC Group companies, he is also on the board of Torrent Power, CDC Group (London) and Greatship (India). He is a member of SEBI's Primary Market Advisory Committee and Corporate Governance Committee as well.
