A select few Indian gamers got a chance to meet and interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to a video shared by news agency ANI, seven gamers met with Modi and the Prime Minister tried his hand at a few games.
The seven gamers who met Modi included Animesh Agrawal, Naman Mathur, Mithilesh Patankar, Payal Dhare, Tirth Mehta, Ganesh Gangadhar, and Anshu Bisht.
In the video, the Prime Minister is seen interacting with gamers and they shared how gaming industry is taking centre stage. One of the gamers pointed out how there has been a rise in games around Indian mythology whereas another mentioned how the government has started to recognise their creativity.
On his part, the Prime Minister asked questions to the gamers. One of the things he asked whether the gamers faced the dilemma of gaming being equated to gambling. A gamer responded by saying that its time there is clear differentiation between real-money games and skill-based games. In the video, a gamer was also asked about whether gaming can be an addiction or not.
The Prime Minister also quizzed a gamer about whether more girls should be a part of the gaming industry and if they should take more interest in the field.
After the interaction, the Prime Minister was seen trying his hand at various games on different platforms. He tried VR-based games, mobile game as well as PC/console games.
