Steam's annual Winter Sale has begun and there are tons of great deals to take advantage of. Here are our picks for the best game deals during the sale. The sale will last till January 5, 10 am PT (11:30 pm IST).

Hitman 2016 was a soft reboot of the franchise, subtly bringing it into the next generation while exploring Agent 47's beginnings. The story was interesting but the real star was the gameplay.

It took what was unique about the franchise and expanded on it ten-fold by giving you the freedom to explore large levels and complete your assassinations in virtually endless ways.

Hitman 2 took that formula and refined it further, expanding the scope of the levels and continuing the story.

The standard edition of Hitman 2 is on sale for Rs 395 and includes all the levels that were released. The Gold Edition will cost you Rs 419 and includes the expansion pass which throws in two more levels, two new sniper assassination maps, new assignments and some cosmetics.

Besides this, the GOTY Legacy pack is also on sale for Rs 264 and that gives you access to everything that was released for Hitman 2016, so you get two games for the price of one.

In case you are wondering, Hitman 3 was an Epic Games Store exclusive, so it doesn't show up on Steam. The good news is Epic Games Store is running a sale too that lasts till January 6, so you can pick up Hitman 3 for Rs 567.60 there. The Deluxe edition will cost you Rs 851.60.

The Outer Worlds

It's no Fallout: New Vegas but it's damn close. The Outer Worlds is Obsidian Entertainment's more accessible take on the Fallout formula and manages to craft a solid, if somewhat uninspired, world.

It's a great starting point for people who are new to open-world RPGs, and a lot more forgiving when it comes to the choices you make.

You can pick up the standard edition of the game for Rs 986 or get the Non-Mandatory Corporate Sponsored Bundle which includes the expansion pass for Rs 2,348.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

With Halo Infinite now out, this is a great time to look back at the classic Halo games and join the community.

The Master Chief Collection bundles Halo Combat Evolved: Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach and Halo 4 in one package for Rs 449.

Psychonauts 2

The continuation of a beloved cult classic from 2005, it feels like a small miracle that Psychonauts 2 even exists. It lived through a tumultuous development period but somehow emerged unscathed.

Jump in and pick the game up for Rs 844 on sale. The original is also on sale for Rs 184. You can even check out the Double Fine Bundle which accumulates all of the studios games into one package for Rs 2,836.

Metro Saga Bundle

The Metro series is a tense, atmospheric exploration of a post-apocalyptic Russia, where humanity has been forced to take shelter in Moscow's subway tunnels.

The Metro Saga Bundle includes all three Metro Games - Metro 2033 Redux, Metro: Last Light Redux and Metro Exodus, along with the expansion which includes two more pieces of story DLC that was released for the game. The bundle is priced at Rs 471, which is dirt cheap for the amount of stellar content you are getting.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Sure, it doesn't have the best story in the stories, in fact, it is a convoluted mess of narratives that never gel together but Metal Gear Solid V's brand of open-world stealth is unmatched.

Of all the Metal Gear Solid games, this has the best gameplay in the series with a large number of tools available at your disposal.

The Definitive Experience bundles Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain into one, and also includes some DLC that was released for the game. It will cost you Rs 399.

The Forgotten City

It's amazing to think that this game started as a mod for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim but eventually morphed into is own award-winning game. It's a first person adventure with a cleverly crafted, time-loop narrative that lets you see the effects of the choices you make. The fate of a 2000-year-old Roman city is in your hands.

You can grab it on sale for Rs 426. The Digital Collector's Edition includes the soundtrack and collector's edition extras for Rs 728.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - GOTY Edition

From the creators of Dark Souls and the upcoming Elden Ring, Sekiro casts you as the one-armed Wolf, a disgraced warrior rescued from death in late 1500s Sengoku, Japan.

In true From Software fashion, expect challenging enemies and take them on with an assortment of tools.

You can pick it up on sale for Rs 1,999.

Bioshock: The Collection

Three of the very best in narrative and game design, all included in one package. Can't go wrong with that.

The Collection includes BioShock Remastered, BioShock 2 Remastered, BioShock 2: Minerva's Den Remastered, BioShock Infinite and the season pass which includes Burial at Sea - Episodes One and Two - together for Rs 349.

EA Star Wars Triple Bundle

Three of the better Star Wars games released in recent years, all wrapped up in one convenient package. It includes Star Wars: Squadrons, the Deluxe Edition of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Battlefront II.

The Triple Bundle is on sale for Rs 1,765.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition

Three classics from the Xbox 360/PS3 era remastered and re-released for the PC. The Mass Effect saga is one of the most popular trilogies of games among fans and for good reason.

Bioware went out of their way to craft a memorable story and characters, then they gave you the choice on how to interact with them. Every choice you make does have a consequence and its endlessly entertaining from start to finish.

The Legendary Edition includes Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3, along with all DLCs released for the games. Pick it up on sale for Rs 1,499.

One of the most underrated games ever made, and one that places freedom of player choice as a central pillar. There are multiple paths to explore, an intelligent story that hooks you in and free form gameplay that lets the player decide how they want to engage.

The Standard Edition of the game is on sale for Rs 349 and the Digital Deluxe Edition bundles the DLC for Rs 539.

You can also check out the Prey and Dishonored 2 Bundle which includes Dishonored 2 for Rs 509 or buy the Arkane 20th Anniversary bundle which includes Arx Fatalis, Dishonored - Definitive Edition, Prey, Dishonored 2, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider and Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, being sold for Rs 1,061.
