LG had launched their Optimus range of handsets running Android 2.2 Froyo, in order to get their handsets pushed out earlier in the market. Many of their competitors have Gingerbread already up and running and are in the process of getting Google’s latest OS, Ice Cream Sandwich onto their smartphones. In what seems like a better late than never attempt, LG has announced that they will be updating their Optimus series of handsets to Gingerbread, according to a post on their official Facebook page.
