In a memorandum submitted to the government on Monday, Solvent Extractor's Association (SEA) said, "We would like to bring to your kind notice the alarming increase in import of edible oils seriously hurting the domestic farmers and the vegetable oil refiners."

    Oilmeals exports increased by 58% to 2,50,335 tonnes in June from 1,58,750 tonnes in the same month last year, helped by record oilseeds output, according to trade data released today.
