The case triggered an outrage, prompting the AAP government's Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) to cancel the hospital's licence on December 8 for alleged medical negligence.
The family of the twin babies, one of whom was wrongly declared dead by Max Hospital demanded a CBI probe into the case after an appellate authority stayed the Delhi government order cancelling the hospital's licence.
"Our deepest condolences are with the parents and other family members. While we understand that survival in extreme preterm births is rare, it is always painful for the parents and family. We wish them the strength to cope with their loss," it said.
