The core industries index contracted in August 2019 for the first time since April 2015
Eight core industries register a growth of 5.6 per cent in December 2016 on the back of healthy output recorded by refinery products and steel.
The coal production grew at 0.4 percent versus 0.3 percent in July. The crude oil production grew at 5.6 percent versus a decline of 0.4 percent month on month (M-o-M). Natural gas production grew at 3.7percent versus a decline of 4.4 percent M-o-M.
Coal production grew only 0.3 percent versus 6.3 percent M-o-M, crude oil production was down 0.4 percent versus 0.7 decline M-o-M percent, natural gas production was down 4.4 percent against decline of 5.9 percent M-O-M.
