The V4 RS takes on the likeness of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak. This ADV, however, features an Iceberg White livery with MotoGP-inspired graphics. To enhance its sporty and premium appearance, Ducati has integrated carbon-fibre elements, including a front fender, beak and hand guards. The V4 RS also gets adjustable seat heights. Riders can adjust this to their preferred level, ranging from 840mm to 860mm. For those seeking an even lower seating position, an option is available, reducing the seat height to a range of 810mm to 830mm. One of the key advancements in the Multistrada V4 RS is the significant reduction in weight. According to Ducati, the Multistrada V4 RS is the lightest fourth-generation Multistrada ever, with a dry weight of 211kg. This weight reduction of approximately 3kg in comparison to the Pikes Peak edition is achieved through a combination of design choices, including the titanium subframe, lightweight components and a compact battery. The Multistrada V4 RS's suspension setup is equally impressive. It boasts 48mm Ohlins fully adjustable front forks with titanium nitride treatment and an Ohlins TTX36 fully adjustable monoshock at the rear. At the core of the Multistrada V4 RS lies the beating heart that sets it apart from its predecessors and competitors. Ducati has equipped the ADV with a 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, a power plant typically reserved for the track-focused Panigale and Streetfighter models. For context, the other Multistrada bikes make use of the Granturismo V4 engine. The result is an 11 hp increase in power, but a 7Nm reduction in torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and boasts Ducati's STM Evo-SBK dry clutch, again from the Panigale. Additionally, the inclusion of a bi-directional quick-shifter ensures smooth and efficient gear changes. Riders are also given the freedom to tailor their riding experience with four power modes, including Full, High, Medium and Low. These modes allow riders to adapt the bike's performance to different riding conditions and preferences. The 17-inch Marchesini forged aluminium wheels not only look exquisite but also play a significant role in reducing unsprung weight, enhancing agility and improving handling. These wheels are then wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres, measuring 120/70-17 in the front and 190/55-17 in the rear. Braking is handled by dual 330mm discs with Brembo Stylema monobloc four-piston calipers at the front while the rear is equipped with a single 265mm disc and a Brembo floating caliper. As of now, the Ducati Multistrada has been launched only in international markets like the UK where the price is 31,99 pounds (approx. Rs 32.38 lakh at the time of writing). While Ducati has not yet revealed details about if and when the bike will be made available in India, reports suggest that a limited number of units will reach local shores in the near future.
