‘You are an MP, have some shame…’: Manish Sisodia hits out at Manoj Tiwari over misleading Arvind Kejriwal video

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia launched an attack on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari for sharing a clipped video of former Delhi chief minister and his party colleague Arvind Kejriwal.

The 9-second video, which has gone viral on social media, was shared by Tiwari on X. In the video, Kejriwal was heard saying, “We were sitting... Someone was saying that whoever has written the Constitution must be drunk while writing it.”

The post came amid a row over Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah’s comments in the Rajya Sabha on BR Ambedkar, known as the architect of Indian Constitution.

Tiwari, a three-time MP from North East Delhi, while sharing Kejriwal’s clipped video wrote, "I found this video of the head of Delhi's Aam Aadmi Party after listening to which everyone will be able to see his true colours.”

In response, Sisodia shared the full 19-second video of Kejriwal’s speech, and accused Tiwari of spreading lies. The video was reportedly from 12 years ago.

In the full video shared by Sisodia, Kejriwal was heard speaking of the Constitution of Congress party and not about the Indian Constitution. “Constitution of Congress party says no worker shall consume liquor. We were sitting… Someone amongst us said the one who wrote the Constitution must have been drunk while writing it," Kejriwal said.

As he shared the complete video, Sisodia asked Manoj Tiwari to stop behaving like “cheap trolls”. “You are an MP, have some shame. You are tweeting lies. If not yourself, at least respect the post of MP,” Sisodia wrote.

Tiwari hit back at Sisodia, saying there should be decorum in a debate. “You got so angry that you called me shameless,” he said.

Earlier, a huge controversy had erupted after Amit Shah’s remarks in the Rajya Sabha on BR Ambedkar. He said, "It has become a fashion to say Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar. If they had taken God's name so many times, they would have got a place in heaven."
