Police in Odisha detained a youth on Monday after a security lapse involving the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi during a public appearance in Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, an unknown individual rushed towards the CM with a piece of paper at Utkal University in Bhubaneswar.
Security personnel moved in immediately and stopped the man, a response that came after the sudden approach left the CM reportedly startled.
The episode unfolded when the CM was at the campus to attend a programme celebrating the National Youth Day on Monday.
