A roof collapsed at Terminal 1 of Delhi airport, according to an official from Delhi Fire Services. Three fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Four people were injured in the incident; all have been rescued and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Fire officials are at the location and several flights are running late, with travellers reporting long traffic snarls as they approach the airport.

Heavy rains led to the incident, which occurred around 5:30 AM, according to Delhi Fire Services (DFS).

The collapse also damaged several vehicles, including taxis. As a result, many flights are delayed, and travellers experience long traffic jams approaching the airport.

Union Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu tweeted, "Personally monitoring the roof collapse incident at T1 Delhi Airport. First responders are working at the site. Also advised the airlines to assist all affected passengers at T1. The injured have been evacuated to hospital. Rescue operations are still ongoing."

IndiGo Airlines has cancelled all flights to and from Terminal 1 of Delhi Airport due to heavy rains causing a partial closure. All departures from Terminal 1 are temporarily suspended, and check-in counters are closed.

Flight departures at Delhi airport's Terminal 1 have been suspended until 2 PM following a roof collapse.
