Ram Mandir: Devotees perform havan at the Navagraha temple in Poonch, J&K

Religious fervour took place throughout the country on January 22 as the new Ram Lalla idol was consecrated at the newly constructed temple in Ayodhya.

Devotees are seen participating in 'havan' at the Navagraha temple at the India-Pakistan line of control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.

The devotees, with folded hands, are seen chanting prayers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22 with the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol.

Modi, who led the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rituals at the Ram Temple said that the consecration was an extraordinary moment that would make everyone full of emotions.

The construction of the Ram temple began in 2020 after Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone on August 5. The construction started after the Supreme Court in 2019 handed over the disputed 2.77-acre site in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya town to the Hindu side for the temple construction and ordered a separate site for a mosque.
