
Scores of passengers were stranded at several airports across the country as flights were either disrupted or cancelled by the airlines amid the ongoing US-Israel attack and the subsequent attacks launched by Iran on the countries in the Middle East.
Indian carriers, IndiGo and Air India, cancelled flights to the Middle East, citing the evolving security situation and the need for close operational monitoring.
At the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, passengers were seen stranded at several terminals as airlines cancelled flights. Many passengers received updates about their flight status only after reaching the airport.
Many passengers were also seen huddled at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.

Similar was the situation at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. The airport also issued an advisory stating that due to the temporary closures and restrictions affecting multiple international airspaces in West Asia, certain international flights may be disrupted, re-routed or cancelled.

The situation was no better at Amritsar airport. Amritsar Airport Director Bhupinder Singh said, "... Yesterday five flights were cancelled. Two flights were cancelled on the ground, two other flights had taken off. One of them was a SpiceJet flight bound for Dubai, which was in midair and was called back to Amritsar around 7pm."
Singh said there was also a fifth flight, belonging to Air Express, from which passengers were made to deboard. "Another Indigo flight coming from Sharjah to Amritsar was cancelled. Another Air India flight to Birmingham got cancelled...," said the airport director.

Flight operations of Emirates from Chennai International Airport were disrupted following escalating tensions and reported conflict in parts of the Gulf region.
According to airport sources, several Emirates flights scheduled to depart from Chennai were cancelled as a precautionary measure. The cancellations have affected passengers bound for international destinations, including Dubai and Middle East countries.
Passengers were seen waiting at the airport terminals seeking clarification on rescheduling options. Many expressed concern over missed connections to European and other international cities via Dubai, a major transit hub for long-haul flights.

According to news agency PTI, Trivandrum airport in Kerala bore a deserted look as 26 flights travelling through the Middle East were cancelled.
