The Muzaffarpur-Sabarmati Jansadharan Express (Train No. 15269) derailed while heading from Panki station towards Bhaulpur on Friday. The incident occurred while the train was entering line number 4.
There have been no reports of casualties or injuries as yet.
According to the Indian Railways, the last two coaches of the train drailed at around 4:20 pm. Two coaches, specifically the 5th and 6th from the rear end near the guard brake van, went off the tracks.
The spot is being cleared of the coaches and the tracks are being restored. Railway officials, including GM and the DRM from the Kanpur division, are also heading to the spot.

“Fortunately, all passengers and railway staff on board were reported safe, with no injuries,” read the press statement issued by Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway (NCR) zone.
“Restoration work has begun. Efforts to bring the derailed coaches back onto the track were swiftly initiated and are currently ongoing. Despite the incident, train operations on the down line continue without disruption,” added PRO department of Prayagraj division.
