Modi speaks to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed, condemns attacks and backs de-escalation

In a post on X, Modi said he conveyed India’s solidarity with the UAE during what he described as “difficult times”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday spoke with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and strongly condemned the recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates, expressing condolences over the loss of lives.

In a post on X, Modi said he conveyed India’s solidarity with the UAE during what he described as “difficult times”. He also thanked the UAE leadership for ensuring the safety and well-being of the Indian community residing in the country.

“Spoke with President of the UAE, my brother Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Strongly condemned the attacks on the UAE and condoled the loss of lives in these attacks. India stands in solidarity with the UAE in these difficult times,” the Prime Minister said.

He added that India supports de-escalation and reiterated its commitment to regional peace, security and stability amid rising tensions in West Asia.
