The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) is set to launch a lottery for over 2,000 homes in Mumbai's prime locations, including Malad, Powai, Vikhroli, Goregaon, and Wadala, in September.
Sanjeev Jaiswal, Vice Chairman and CEO of MHADA, announced that the final details of the lottery will be revealed shortly, as per a Hindustan Times report.
On August 7, MHADA began offering 2,030 affordable homes under the MHADA lottery 2024 scheme. The official advertisement for this housing scheme will be published on August 8, and online applications will open on August 9.
The lottery will feature a total of 2,030 homes, with the largest number - 768 apartments - available in the Middle Income Group (MIG) category. There will be 627 apartments for the Lower Income Group (LIG), 359 for the Economic Weaker Section (EWS), and over 276 for the Higher Income Group (HIG). Applications will be accepted until September 4 at 11:45 pm, and the results will be announced on September 13 at 11 am.
