A series of committee reports, motions for extension and a key labour reform Bill are set to be laid on the Table of the Lok Sabha today as the Budget Session continues.

According to the Lok Sabha list of business, several ministries and parliamentary committees will present reports in both Hindi and English, covering issues ranging from bank penal charges to India’s economic growth roadmap.

BJP MPs Manoj Tiwari and Chandra Prakash Joshi will present the Fourth Report of the Committee on Petitions. The report addresses a representation by Parameswaran Krishna Iyer regarding the levying of penal charges for non-maintenance of minimum balance in bank accounts, an issue that has drawn public attention in recent years.

BJP MPs Harendra Singh Malik and Rajkumar Chahar will table reports of the Committee on Government Assurances.

Separately, BJP MP Bhartruhari Mahtab and LJP (RV) MP Arun Bharti will present the Twenty-ninth Report on action taken by the government on recommendations made in the Standing Committee on Finance’s earlier report titled “Roadmap for Indian economic growth in light of global economic and geopolitical circumstances.”

BJP MPs D Purandeswari and Bhartruhari Mahtab will move a motion seeking extension of time to present the Joint Committee’s report on the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan Bill, 2025.

Meanwhile, BJP MPs Tejasvi Surya and Malvika Devi will move a similar motion for extension of time for the Select Committee’s report on the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2025.

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is scheduled to move that the Bill to amend the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, be taken into consideration and passed in the Lok Sabha.

The proposed amendment forms part of the broader labour reforms agenda that has been under discussion in Parliament.

On Wednesday, both Houses of Parliament continued discussions on the Union Budget 2026–27.

During the proceedings, BJP MP Anurag Sharma and JKNC MP Miah Altaf Ahmad presented reports of the Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture in the Lok Sabha.

Union New and Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi also made a statement on the status of implementation of recommendations contained in the 10th Report of the Standing Committee on Energy concerning the performance evaluation of solar power projects in the country.
