Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday shared a picture on X showing him en route to the Jordan Museum, with the car being personally driven by Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II.

“On the way to The Jordan Museum with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II,” the Prime Minister posted on X, with pictures of him sitting inside the prince’s BMW.

PM Modi and the crown prince can be seen talking to each other in the pictures. The Jordan Museum, located in the Ras al-Ein district of Amman, is the country’s largest museum and showcases some of its most significant archaeological and historical artefacts.

Who is Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II

Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II is the heir apparent to the throne of Jordan and the eldest son of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania.

Born in 1994, he was named crown prince in 2009 and has since emerged as the public face of the next generation of the Hashemite monarchy. He has frequently represented Jordan at official engagements, regional forums and international events.

Educated in Jordan and abroad, Crown Prince Hussein is a graduate of Georgetown University and has undergone military training at the UK’s Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

The Crown Prince is a 42nd-generation direct descendant of Prophet Mohammad.

PM Modi’s Jordan visit

PM Modi arrived in Jordan's capital Amman on Monday on a two-day visit at the invitation of King Abdullah II. Jordan is the first leg of the Prime Minister's four-day, three-nation tour, which will also take him to Ethiopia and Oman.

Earlier, PM Modi said that India and Jordan need to revive old trade links to unlock future economic opportunities.

PM Modi, while highlighting the long-standing commercial links between the two countries, said that India is currently Jordan's third-largest trading partner and stressed that economic engagement should go beyond mere numbers.
