Second box components retrieved
The second black box recovered from the crash site is the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), which records all cockpit sounds—including pilot conversations, radio communications, warning alarms, and background mechanical noises
This discovery will allow investigators to reconstruct the sequence of events leading up to a crash on a second-by-second basis, providing the most objective and detailed account of what happened inside the cockpit and throughout the aircraft systems.
According to reports, the black box—one of the most vital components of an aircraft that records everything happening inside the cockpit—has been recovered. This crucial discovery is expected to assist authorities in uncovering the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic crash of Air India Flight AI-171 on June 12.
The first black box component, the Flight Data Recorder (FDR), was found on Friday atop the roof of a building near the crash site in Ahmedabad.
With both black boxes now recovered, investigators will be able to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the incident.
The London-bound Air India Flight AI-171, carrying 242 passengers, crashed mere seconds after departing from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad.
Authorities are now hopeful that data retrieved from the black boxes will shed light on the cause of the ill-fated crash
