Reports suggest that loud explosions have been heard in Tehran

India has issued an advisory for its citizens after the US and Israel launched joint strikes on Iran after weeks of warnings on Saturday.

The Embassy of India in Israel has urged all Indian nationals to exercise utmost caution and remain vigilant at all times. Citizens have been strongly advised to strictly follow the safety guidelines and instructions issued by Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command.

Meanwhile, Iran's state-run rolling news channel, IRINN, confirmed in an on-screen ticker that strikes had taken place in Tehran on 28 February, following what Israel described as a "pre-emptive attack" on Iran.

The broadcaster briefly experienced an audio disruption at around 06:30 GMT before resuming regular programming. It later displayed captions reporting plumes of smoke and the sound of explosions in parts of the capital.

IRINN subsequently aired pre-recorded footage of pro-establishment rallies set to music, along with archived remarks from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urging unity against "enemies." The channel also broadcast interviews with supporters of the Islamic Republic who voiced opposition to foreign intervention.
