Delhi election 2025 Date and Time: Stage is set for the Delhi Assembly Election 2025. The high-octane poll campaign that came to end on Monday (February 3, 2025) saw leaders across all parties hold massive rallies, roadshows to woo the voters. At present, the mandatory 48-hour silence period is on with the voting scheduled for February 5, 2025.
From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, all major national leaders were part of the canvassing. The poll schedule, which was announced on January 7 by the Election Commission of India, will conclude with the verdict day – February 8, 2025.
The political battle lines were drawn with BJP’s vociferous campaign against Kejriwal. The BJP, which has been out of power in Delhi for over two decades, has alleged corruption charges against the ruling Aam Aadmi Party. On the other hand, the AAP has highlighted achievements in areas of education and health. From Purvanchal votes, to Yamuna’s water quality, Delhi election campaign saw range of issues being highlighted by all major parties.
Delhi election date 2025: When will voting take place
As per the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India, the voting in Delhi will take place in a single-phase on February 5, 2025. The eligible voters will be able to cast their ballots in the designated polling booths from 7:00 am onwards. The result of the Delhi Assembly Election will be announced by the ECI on February 8, 2025.

As per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, there is a strict ban on any kind of exit poll or opinion poll during the voting hours - 7:00 am to 6:30 pm.
Delhi Election 2025: Candidates checklist
The latest data shows that there are 699 candidates in this year’s Assembly poll. The Delhi Assembly has 70 constituencies. The term of this Assembly is set to conclude on February 23, 2025. AAP, which has been in power for two consecutive terms, is looking for a hattrick this time.
Major battles this time around include Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi, Aatishi (AAP) vs Ramesh Bidhuri (BJP) from Kalkaji, Manish Sisodia from Jangpura, Satyendar Jain from Shakur Basti, Somnath Bharti from Malviya Nagar among others.
