After Rahul Gandhi’s “dance jibe” at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Thursday attacked the Congress leader
In a post on X, Maurya alleged that after openly defaming India across the world, Gandhi considers himself to be a “very big tees maar khan”.
“The legacy of the Nehru-Gandhi family and the five-time Member of Parliament and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji, has now reached its nadir in politics. He has neither control over his speech nor over his conduct,” he said.
During a rally in poll-bound Bihar on Wednesday, Gandhi said PM Modi could do anything for votes, including doing “drama” for Chhath Puja and “dance” if asked.
“The indecent language he has used against the accomplished Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji is not only an insult to the Hon'ble Prime Minister Ji but also to 1.4 billion fellow citizens of the country. Coming from the Extremely Backward Class and being the son of a poor mother, his successful rise to become Prime Minister—and the Gandhi family's inability to tolerate it—is indicative of their arrogance and distorted mentality,” he said.

The Deputy CM also said Gandhi should take this to heart as the people of the country and Bihar will not tolerate any “insult to their beloved leader Modi Ji”.
Gandhi had said that the BJP staged a "drama" and built a separate pond for PM Modi to take a dip in during Chhath Puja in Delhi.
“PM Modi said that he will bathe in the Yamuna for Chhath,” Gandhi claimed. “The Yamuna has dirty water. If someone drank it, they would either get sick or die. But Modi staged a drama. He built a small pond there. They will show you anything for elections. A pipe is installed from behind. Clean water is poured into it. The problem arose that someone took a photo of the pipe.”
