Vipin Gupta, a tech professional from Bengaluru who was reported missing earlier has been located by Uttar Pradesh police at a mall in Noida. The techie who was missing has changed his appearance by shaving his head and the cops are looking into this matter and also the reason behind his disappearance from Bengaluru.

“#missingvipingupta has been traced and secured in a mall near Noida. He has changed his appearance. Investigation is going on. Always committed and compassionate #bengalurucitypolice,” the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Bengaluru's North East division posted on social media.

Vipin Gupta's wife, Sreeparna Dutta who had earlier taken to Facebook Live broadcast and pleaded to find help to find her husband has also confirmed that the techie has returned home.

She wrote on X,"Thank you to one and all - the Law and order, CM office, media, friends, colleagues and people from all walks of life to support and help with the tracing of Vipin. Vipin is back home but he is in a state of shock and trauma. Doctor has adviced him to take rest and he will undergo therapy. Please keep us in your prayers and thank you for all support. I am aware of many speculations and statements on media however my focus is on Vipin’s rehabilitation, our children and family. Request you all to allow us time and space for the family to come back to normalcy."

Earlier, Dutta said that she faced hurdles when she initially tried to report her husband’s disappearance. She filed a missing person report at the Kodigehalli police station, but she alleges that the police refused to register her complaint at first. It was only after multiple appeals that an FIR was finally filed on August 6—two days after Gupta went missing.
