Bakrid Bank Holiday 2023: Banks in Kerala, Maharashtra, and Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed for Eid Ul Azha on 28 June.

Banks will be shut in many states for Bakr Eid or Eid-Al-Adha on June 28. In some states, there will be no banking operations on June 29.

Cities with bank holiday on June 28 for Eid-Al-Adha or Bakr Eid: Belapur, Jammu, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram.

Cities with bank holiday on June 29 for Eid-Al-Adha or Bakr Eid: New Delhi, Srinagar, Chandigarh, Imphal, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Agartala, Bengaluru, Aizawl, Panaji, Patna, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Shillong, Shimla, Bhopal, Guwahati, Kanpur.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) puts holidays under three categories- Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act; Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays; and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.

Bank holidays in July 2023
Public and private sector banks will remain shut for 15 days in July. Banks will be closed for Muharram, Guru Hargobind Ji’s birthday, Ashoora, and Ker Pooja.
