Shares of Bajaj Electricals gained nearly a percent in early trade on October 18 after the company received a contract worth Rs 347.29 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India.
At 9:18am, Bajaj Electricals was quoting at Rs 1,103.95, up Rs 9.45, or 0.86 percent, on the BSE.
The company has been awarded a supply of service contract by Power Grid for and on behalf of their project-specefic transmission company.
The project included a 765kV transmission line of 109 km at Bhadla, Rajasthan. It is to be completed within the 15 months from the date of issue of NOA/LOA.

On October 13, the company received a contract for supply of services by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for, and on behalf of, their SPV M/s Ananthpuram Kurnool Transmission.
The scope of the work order is a 400kV New Transmission Line -83.12km and 400kV New Transmission Line - 183km at Ananthapur and Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The value of the said contract is Rs 564.20 crore and to be completed within 21 months from the date of issue of their respective NOA/LOA.
