Former Citibank India investment banking head and veteran dealmaker Ravi Kapoor will assume a non-executive role as vice chairman of investment banking at Investec Capital Services (India), as part of a new joint business collaboration with his firm, Strategic Advisory & Capital Solutions Partners (SACS Partners), Investec said in a press statement on January 15.

Investec India said it has entered into a joint business collaboration agreement with SACS Partners for its financial advisory business, covering mergers and acquisitions, private capital raising and secondary market block transactions.

Kapoor, who founded SACS Partners, brings more than 37 years of investment banking experience, having executed over 600 transactions across capital markets and M&A advisory aggregating more than $500 billion in India, as per the press statement.

Investec India is majority owned by UK-based Investec Bank Plc and has been operating in the country since 2011. The firm said it closed 51 advisory and capital market transactions worth $13 billion in 2025, underscoring the scale of its India franchise across investment banking, institutional equities and alternate assets

The collaboration is aimed at strengthening Investec India’s advisory platform by combining its origination, structuring, distribution and international network with Kapoor’s long-standing relationships with large corporates and financial sponsors. Commenting on the development, Ajeeth Narayan, country head India at Investec India, said, “Investec India is committed to growing in the Indian market which is one of most exciting growth markets and we see a large opportunity for Investec in India. We are really excited to work with Ravi and SACS Partners to bring best in class ideas and execution to our clients.”

Kapoor said the partnership would allow clients to benefit from a differentiated advisory offering. “We are thrilled to partner with Investec India and deliver to our clients a differentiated combination of sharp advisory thinking, strong execution and international reach,” he said, adding that the collaboration would provide “an unmatched blend of high quality advice and world-class execution”

SACS Partners focuses on strategic M&A advisory, private capital raising, secondary stake sales and board-level advisory.
