RailTel Corporation of India shares gain 2% after winning Rs 1,136 crore contract

Shares of RailTel Corporation of India rose 2 percent on February 23 after the company secured a contract worth ₹1,136.18 crore.

At 09:17 hrs Railtel Corporation of India was quoting at Rs 332.80, up Rs 8.55, or 2.64 percent.

RailTel, in consortium with Ashoka Buildcon, has been selected as the Managed Service Provider (MSP) for the modernization of offices of the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) and Controller of Stamps under the Government of Maharashtra.

As per the Letter of Intent (LoI), the accepted rate is ₹24.75 per page. The average number of pages scanned annually over the past five years, as per the Request for Proposal (RFP), stood at 9.18 crore pages. Based on this volume, the estimated financial impact over the five-year contract period is approximately ₹1,136.18 crore.

The company has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for an order worth Rs 35.54 crore for a railway signalling project. The work is to be completed within 24 months from the date of the LoA.

In the previous trading session, the share closed at Rs 324.25, down Rs 4.75, or 1.44 percent.

The share touched a 52-week high of Rs 478.80 and a 52-week low of Rs 265.30 on 10 June, 2025 and 03 March, 2025, respectively.

Currently, the stock is trading 32.28 percent below its 52-week high and 22.22 percent above its 52-week low.

The market capitalisation of the company stands at Rs 10,406.43 crore.
