Buy Tata Global Beverage, JM Financial, Havells: Ashwani Gujral

Ashwani Gujral of ashwanigujral.com advises buying Tata Global Beverage, JM Financial and Havells.

December 29, 2017 / 12:27 IST

Ashwani Gujral of ashwanigujral.com told CNBC-TV18, "This is a good time to get long on Bank Nifty because the PSU banks are recovering very strongly contrary to expectation. Only two banks which are lower are ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank which is probably the case because they were higher yesterday. So, if these guys also start recovering by the end I think Bank Nifty could see a lot of short covering."

"Having said that, if you a buy a third ranked company in any sector returns will be often not commensurate and particularly PSU banks and within PSU banks probably lower ranked PSU banks, so move into YES Bank from Andhra Bank."

"Raymond is not great value, keep Rs 1,000 type of stoploss and it has good momentum. You will get maybe Rs 1,220 to Rs 1,250."

"What people can do as advice for next year is to keep buying these midcap junior bees which is the ETF of the midcap Index and that if you see since the beginning of this year has almost given you 30 percent returns, so that is a much safer way of participating in the market."

"Tata Global Beverage continues to move higher that is a buy with a stoploss of Rs 307, target of Rs 325. Broking stocks have done well, so JM Financial is a buy with a stoploss of Rs 154, target of Rs 168. Havells is a buy with a stoploss of Rs 560, target of Rs 585," he added.
