OneVerse has been steadily growing its footprint in India's real-money gaming sector.

Metaverse and gaming tech company OneVerse is expanding its real-money gaming (RMG) portfolio through a strategic partnership with Poker Dangal, an online poker platform, the company said on March 6.

The tie up will allow players across the OneVerse gaming platform access to Poker Dangal, which lets users participate in free and paid online poker tournaments.

"This integration accelerates our vision, allowing us to reach a broader audience and enhance our gaming ecosystem. Partnering with OneVerse enables us to scale faster and unlock new opportunities" said Karan Gandhi, co-founder of Dangal Games, which operates Poker Dangal.

Started in 2017 by Gandhi, Varun Mahna, Varun Puri, Shashwat Jain, and Manan Sobti, Poker Dangal claims to have a user base of over two million players.

Founded by Prashanth Joshua, OneVerse has been steadily growing its footprint in India's RMG sector.

It has brought four startups - Spartan Poker, Calling Station, BatBall11, and PokerSaint - in the past one year and is scouting for further acquisitions, even as the industry grapples with the impact of the government's 28 percent Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime.

The company had earmarked Rs 250 crore in growth capital across its portfolio of RMG platforms.

"Bringing Poker Dangal into the OneVerse family is more than just growth—it's an investment in cutting-edge game development and player engagement," said Paul Michael, CEO of OneVerse Gaming, in a statement.

In February 2025, Head Digital Works announced buying Delta Corp's skill gaming unit Deltatech Gaming which operates Adda52 - one of India's oldest online poker platforms - for Rs 491 crore, to expand footprint in the online poker space. Head Digital Works runs online rummy and poker platforms under the A23 brand.

Diversified gaming and sports media firm Nazara Technologies also recently acquired 47.7 percent stake in online poker platform PokerBaazi, one of the country's biggest online poker platforms.
