Actor Kartik Aaryan has purchased a 2,000 square feet plot in Alibaug project for Rs 2 crore, making him the latest celebrity to purchase a property in the House of Abhinandan Lodha's project Chateau de Alibaug.
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and Kriti Sanon are among the other Bollywood stars to have bought a land parcel at House of Abhinandan Lodha's projects in Alibaug, titled Sol de Alibaug. Chateau de Alibaug is the luxury villa component of the project. At the Alibaug project, HoABL's hospitality brand, Miros, is slated to launch a 5,200 square feet hotel.
"Alibaug has become one of the most exciting places to invest in today — close to Mumbai and I plan to build my own home there. This is the first time I have invested in land and with full trust in The House of Abhinandan Lodha. I’m glad to have made this investment," he said in a statement.
Aaryan's property was registered on September 3, with his parents Mala Tiwari and Manish Tiwari executing the deal on his behalf. House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) said several business executives have also purchased land in the project, as they have in its projects in Ayodhya, Vrindavan, and Goa.
"Our Chateau de Alibaug was the first branded land development in Alibaug. His investment reflects the rapidly growing resonance of Alibaug as preferred location for Mumbaikars to build spacious and luxurious homes, as also seen previously with investments from Mr. Bachchan, Kriti Sanon and many renowned business owners and corporate CXOs," said Abhinandan Lodha, the chairman of HoABL.
Alibaug, a previously quiet coastal town, has evolved into a premier housing destination, owing to "unique blend of natural beauty, lifestyle appeal, growing infrastructure support and rising demand for high quality living", he said.
Much of the recent appeal of Alibaug as a primary residential location has been due to infrastructure projects such as the Atal Setu as well as the Navi Mumbai International Airport, and improvements in the marine transport infrastructure, enabling the use roll-on-roll-off (RORO) vessels as well as speedboats.
Aaryan has invested extensively in real estate. In 2023, he purchased a 2,100 square feet commercial property at Lotus Signatuure in Andheri, and he also owns properties in Juhu and Versova neighbourhoods of Mumbai.
